HISTORY
Breeding
Danes is a new and exciting venture for me and I thank all those
Danites who have helped and inspired me.
Ebonory
Le Grande Monarque (Zeus) is my stud harlequin dog who I bought some 4 years ago, he has sired 4 litters in the last 2 years and
has proved to be a great father, there are one or two of his
harlequin puppy bitches that are doing well.
Having shown for the last 3 years, I have been around the
ring a lot and have come to recognise what I think is a good type
and a type that I would like to breed myself.
I contacted Allours Great Danes who I admire greatly and
subsequently bought a black bitch from harlequin breeding who I
called Rhia, she will be bred to my harlequin stud dog (Zeus)
towards the end of the year. However
my first breeding experience is with Violet (harlequin bitch) and
Ecco (Ecco Fortunello, black from harlequin breeding) Ecco being
part owned with John Janse
of Fortunello Great Danes.
Please see the puppy page for more information.
Last
year I passed my Judges Course with the Northern Great Dane Club and
also my ‘Hands On’ Course for the Kennel Club, I not only want
to breed but I hope to become a judge in the not too distant future.
I have also undertaken and passed the Midland and West Novice
Judges Course. I feel
it is important for any breeder or prospective breeder to know their
stuff about their breed and as I have been taught, you breed to
better the breed and nothing less.
I am also on the committee of the Birmingham and District
Gundog and Terrier Society.
At
present all of my dogs live in the house, I like to keep my family
close to me to ensure correct temperament and as I have a very young
son I can ensure that my dogs are good natured when dealing with
children. I must just give a mention to my long suffering husband
Stephen who chauffeurs me and the dogs around to shows when he can
and looks after our young son when he can’t.
I
hope you enjoy surfing my site and although I don’t have quantity
I can assure you I have great quality Great Danes.
Kind
Regards CAZ
